Cryolipo Non-surgical Permanent Fat Removal
Cryolipolysis is a new proven non-surgical treatment to remove unwanted body fat, offering a painless and safe alternative to surgical liposuction.
Cryolipo Fat Cooling, a CE approved procedure, remodels your body shape by cooling fat cells. This cooling process causes the fat cells to go into apoptoses and eventually destroys them. The destroyed cells dissolve into lipids which are metabolized and removed permanently by the body naturally over a period of 6 to 12 weeks.
No anaesthesia is needed. After your Cryolipolysis treatment you can immediately resume your normal activities with no downtime.
Cryolipo cooling heads create a vacuum immobilising the fat tissue and isolating the treated area from surrounding tissue. Low temperature is then applied to the area in a controlled heat extraction process.
Beautique is the only CTN Authorised Cryotherapy Clinic in the UK combining Lipolaser, Cryolipolysis and Cavitation to give instant inch loss from a 90 minute session.
How does Cryolipolysis work?
The process is safe and no damage is caused to the skin or other surrounding tissues. Only the subcutaneous fat cells (which are very sensitive to low temperatures) are destroyed in the treatment.
The treatment is part of a 3 step procedure taking approximately 90 minutes to complete. Breakthrough technology has made instant inch loss possible in a single session… and if that’s not good enough the body will continue over the next 6-12 weeks to show the effects of the treatment as the fat cells crystallise and break down. The damaged fat cells release lipids into the lymphatic system where these are either converted by the liver into blood sugar (reducing cravings and overall appetite) or removed from the body through normal metabolism.
As this is a slow and gradual process the released lipids do not create stress on the liver or other normal bodily functions. As the dissolving of the fat cells is gradual the skin can usually keep up easier with the shrinkage so the end result is more natural than traditional invasive methods of fat removal. The destroyed fat cells do not regenerate, which helps to maintain the achieved results.
Frequently asked questions about Cryolipo
Does Cryolipo work well for everyone?
It can be used on all skin types and ages. However, Cryolipo works best for someone who is in relatively good shape with modest areas of fat bulges (for example a muffin top). You will typically need 2-3 sessions to obtain similar results to conventional surgical liposuction. Cryolipo is not a cure for obesity and very over-weight people do not benefit from the treatment.
What areas are most commonly treated by Cryolipo?
It works best for people who have isolated pockets of stubborn fat around the lower abdomen, the flanks, love handles, saddle bags, bra bulges, back fat or flabby knees.
What should I expect during the treatment?
The first part of your treatment is with Lipo Laser. In a 10 minute pain-free process thousands of laser beams deliver energy that destabilises the structure of fat cells.
This is quickly followed by the Cryolipolysis procedure. This part of the process is uncomfortable for the first few minutes as the skin is strongly pulled into vacuum heads. However, the area soon becomes cold and numb and there is little to no sensation for the remainder of the 40-50 minutes session.
When the Cryolipolysis treatment is finished the skin is very cold to the touch, and the final step of the treatment is to immediately return circulation to the area. Cavitation ultrasound technology is used to massage the treated areas for 15-30 minutes, and while this part of the process is also completely painless, patients may experience it as a noise.
What should I expect after the Cryolipo treatment?
Clinical trials have shown that instant ‘inch loss’ varies between body types, but typically a result of between 2.5 and 5cm has been recorded. The actual process of apoptosis (the breaking down of fat cells) will continue long after your treatment session and the final result will be seen some 8-12 weeks later. With anything between 25 and 40% of fat cells permanently removed in one treatment it is possible to significantly improve your shape.
*A word of caution, while we can permanently remove 25-40% of fat cells from a treated area, you have other fat cells throughout your body each capable of being 400 times its current size. Cryolipo Fat Cooling treatments cannot replace a good diet and steady exercise. However, when Cryolipo Fat Cooling treatments are combined with the good diet and exercise they can go a long way towards giving you the shape you desire.
How many sessions are needed?
The treatment can be repeated after 45 days if required, and of course, other areas of the body can be treated on the same day.
Weekly sessions of lipo laser and cavitation will help the sculpting process, but are not compulsory. Beautique offer a course of lipo laser and cavitation to patients considered unsuitable for Cryolipolysis.
Is Cryolipo Fat Cooling safe?
Because of its non invasive nature the treatment has fewer risks than other fat reduction procedures such as liposuction. It’s considered safe for most clients, although there are certain risks associated with any kind of treatment. You may experience redness, tingling, tenderness, bruising and reduced sensation in the treated area. These side effects are normal and usually go away on their own. Extensive testing confirms the cooling only damages fat cells. Other tissues are not affected.
There are contraindications for patients susceptible to cold conditions, e.g. Raynaud’s Phenomenon. Our experienced team will discuss this with you fully at your initial consultation.
